We’re excited to share that starting with Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, all 5K participants will receive a tech shirt, just like our 10K, Half Marathon and Challenge runners. Participant shirts are one of several amenities included as part of your race registration and here’s a look at other event highlights.

Speaking of the 5K, new for this year, the Disney Fall Feast 5K will be making its way to Epcot, where participants will have the opportunity to run, walk or jog their way around the world for the first time during this event. Stay tuned as we reveal the race themes and medals in the coming months!

Also new to this year’s event, celebrate a race well-run during the weekend-exclusive Post-Race Party, now with an earlier entry time! Experience all the excitement of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival beginning at 5pm. After-hours fun, including special 10th Anniversary entertainment and rare characters, will begin at 10pm. Participants of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and Disney Two Course Challenge automatically receive entry with their registration and additional tickets for friends and family may be purchased starting tomorrow.

Friends and family also play an important part in a runner’s experience during a runDisney race weekend. For the 2019 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, spectators can now join the ChEAR Squad for both the 10K and the Half Marathon races. The ChEAR Squad Packages include a variety of amenities as well as reserved finish line seating, perfect for seeing your runner’s most magical moment.

  • I did Star Wars in April and going thru Epcot so many times lost its appeal. Clockwise and counter clockwise thru Epcot is still Epcot not much of a change up, same pics different outfit, I missed the early morning awe of AK. The course change was made way after bib sales so no refunds or changes could be made. I do hope Disney is listening and they bring back AK.

  • Signed up for the 5K – Super excited its in EPCOT!!! Can’t wait to run around the world

  • After doing the 5K at Animal Kingdom for the Food and Wine Half Marathon in 2018., I am excited and very impressed that 2019 Food and Wine 5K will be at Epcot. The fireworks at Epcot for the racers is fantastic and is not available for Animal Kingdom races. Also the music is louder and lighting is better at Epcot. The space on the race track for racers is so much better and is more level at Epcot making it safer. I am very happy for the change. Those that are disappointed, please keep an open mind about the change.

  • Happy about the 5K tech shirt, but not the change in 5K venue. What’s my incentive to do a WDW 5K when every WDW 5K goes through Epcot? 2019 is going to be my husband’s first time doing a WDW event (first time running a 5K also) and we were looking forward to the Animal Kingdom run. He was doing it in honor of our 33rd Wedding Anniversary. So disappointed in WDW!

  • Agree with above comments that it is extremely disappointing that Disney changed the 5K out of Animal Kingdom. All other races are Epcot. This 5K had been special.

  • At the race party, is everything at Epcot going to close again? Last year we were allowed in early, but everything was closed until the party started so there wasn’t anything to do. It was still fun, but I wouldn’t have gotten there early if I knew everything would be closed.

  • Super excited about the tech shirt for the 5k! Disappointed the 5k location will be same as the Star Wars Rival Run. I like when the courses are different.

  • I have to agree. I’m disappointed in the change in 5K course. I’ve run throug Epcot several times and wanted to do the 5K specifically to run through AK at dusk.😕

  • The only reason I signed my son up to do the 5K was because it went through AK. I am terribly disappointed and I know he will be too.

  • Chiming in to agree with the sentiments regarding the 5K change to Epcot. Very disappointing – this was my favorite 5K because it ran through Animal Kingdom.

  • One of the best things ahout this 5k race was that it went through AK… all the other 5k races go through Epcot. You should stick with the race at AK

  • So glad to hear 5K participants will get a tech shirt now too!

But so disappointed the 5K is not at Animal Kingdom! I loved the 5K in Animal Kingdom…it was so unique and such a beautiful morning run!
