Our guests weren’t the only ones anxiously awaiting the opening of Star Tours at Disneyland park. As you’ll see in the video below, even Darth Vader had to wait for his turn to board the new 3D attraction. But what does a Sith lord do during a day in a Disney park? This is one of the best/funniest videos I have ever seen. I’ve been on a Darth Vader kick ever since I watched a video of this years Hyperspace Hoopla! That is my favorite show in all of the star wars weekend. Hopefully one day I will get to see it in person!!
Erin: have they ever had, or are they planning to have “Star Wars Weekends” (even one will do!) at the Disneyland Resort, like they have at the Disneyland Hollywood Studios in Florida? Even just having a bunch of the different characters walking around, etc. would be fun. My kids (ok, mom too!) would LOVE it!
I love how the people in the background just acted like he was any other person and weren’t watching him. The guy behind him in the Haunted Mansion looks so bored it is funny compared to Darth’s reaction.

I loved this video the first time I saw it and laughed real hard. Who ever came out with the idea of this, job well done!! Would love to see more videos like this. I love it so much that I have told several people to also check it out. I have now been on Star Tours 6 times and its amazing!! Will be there again on friday and will be riding on it again. I love it, because when you go on it, you don’t know where you will go on your trip until your on the ride enjoying it.

There is just one issue with the video, the park map Vader holds up. What they should do is just copy and paste the new image over and fix it in photoshop. Also when Vader and the Stormtroopers leve the Curro cart by the castle…They don’t sell popcorn or suvineer cups there. That is what wrong and now here is what I love…It really must of felt akward to go about all park buisness with Darth Vader waiting for star tours to open. I love how he just have to wait and wait and buy a mickey hat and popcorn and watch parade so that star tours can open.
This video is awesome!! Absolutely cracked up. The remodeling of Star Tours is bitter sweet for me as my grandpa helped build the original. However, the new ride is fantastic! I was able to go on the Annual Passholder sneak peek on 5-29 and I rode it 6 times. Absolutely Amazing. I miss Rex though.

Disney needs to remember this concept of a character riding various rides and incorporate it in to their DLR videos that you can watch on loop in the local hotels. Its funny if the character is absurd like this one, and fun if it is, say Goofy on Thunder Mountain

I was one of the lucky winners for the Passholder preview of the ride and I saw part of the filming for this commercial. This is hilarious! And Star Tours is just amazing! Been on the ride 3 times now. Can’t get enough!

I have now watched this at least 5 times….it is too funny…my girls (14,8 &6) just loved it…they can’t wait to go to Star Tours (it was closed the last time Oct 2010). We loved it the first time and can’t wait to see the new one.
I first saw this video in the pre-show of the Star Tours opening webcast. I love it, its awesome!
