Two New Restaurants Now Open at Disney California Adventure Park

Paradise Pier at Disney California Adventure park continues to debut new experiences. Fans now are lining up to take a dive under the sea in The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. But as a foodie, I was just as excited to see my favorite Corn Dog Castle, right next to the attraction, back in business – that spicy dog is a must.

Now two more quick-service restaurants have opened in Paradise Pier for lunch and dinner, side by side with 900 shared seats.

At Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, on-stage kitchens turn out flatbreads, pastas and freshly tossed salads. Our top choice is the BBQ chicken pizza with applewood smoked bacon, smoked Gouda, mozzarella, red onions and cilantro. You can go for traditional cheese or pepperoni, and there’s also a Portobello mushroom and spinach flatbread with pesto, artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta-salata and Pecorino Romano cheeses.

Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs from Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta at Disney California Adventure Park

Pasta fans can dig into classic spaghetti and meatballs, pasta tossed with chicken in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce, or five-cheese ravioli with pesto and toasted pine nuts. Three salads are on the menu, and our favorite is the field greens with Craisins® dried cranberries, raisins, caramelized pecans and a basil vinaigrette. There’s also a hearty chicken Caesar and an Italian chef salad with provolone, salami, capocollo, fresh mozzarella, cured ham, roasted peppers, olives and greens in a red wine vinaigrette.

On a hot afternoon, sip a Bud Light or Peroni and watch the world go by.

Salad from Paradise Garden Grill at Disney California Adventure Park

Next door, Paradise Garden Grill has a Mediterranean spin with varieties of skewers and kabobs – lemon-oregano chicken, beef kefta, grilled steak or veggie and tofu served with rice pilaf, cucumber salad and grilled pita, with your choice of sauces to make it your own: Moroccan chili tomato, chimichurri, tandoori-spiced yogurt and tzatziki (a yogurt-cucumber-garlic sauce). A classic Greek salad with grilled pita also is on the menu. For kids, there’s a grilled chicken skewer or a beef kabob, both served with choice of sauce. Grown-ups can pair their lunch or dinner with a Belgian-style Blue Moon or Boston-brewed Sam Adams beer.

  • Can you please give me the prices? Sounds delectible.

  • wow!! that was fast!!! congrats!! we can´t wait to taste it! 🙂

  • Glad to see that there are going to be more veggie options next time I’m in DCA.

  • I’m thrilled that the Cream Cheese Pretzels have made their way over to DCA.

  • My apologies to the Disneyparks webmaster. I listed another website on my post which may be against the rules.
Gregory…you may have to find out when you get there.

  • The mushroom/spinach/artichoke pizza was my favorite as well as the Field Greens salad. My kids had the alfredo which they enjoyed as well as cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. It was $8.99 for the pizza and $7.49 for the salad. Kids alfredo was $6.49. We would definitely eat there again although we think the awnings should have been made slightly larger as our backs were completely in the sun and it is hot today!

  • Greek food at DCA?! I’m in!!! I can’t WAIT to try it, I’m so excited!!!

  • are any of the items at the 2 new places gluten free? my kiddo needs someplace to eat at dca that is gluten free (and dairy free too)….

  • The portobello and spinach pesto flatbread sounds great as well as the ravioli with pesto and pine nuts. The caesar salad would be good too! Will definitely have to check that and the Paradise Garden Grill out next time I’m there!

  • I love the new dining area!

The entire area is gorgeous! I tried the food at Paradise Garden Grill, and its awesome!

  • I’m so glad Cal Adventure is coming out with so many new stuff! This is exactly what it needs!

  • These new restaurants sound great. California Adventure needed new restaurants, and these sound really good. I hope there’s more to come!

Can you tell us what is gluten-free at these two restaurants? Will the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta have the gluten-free pizza crusts?

  • Just got back and had a beef skewer, pilaf, and veggies and a baklava roll….fantastic.

  • Don’t get me wrong I L-O-V-E that I have a veggie option, but why tofu with the Mediterranean food? something like falafel would be much more appropriate.
