The Most Talked-About Treat at Disney Parks

The Most Talked-About Treat at Disney Parks

If last week’s D23 crowd and blog posts are any indication, this adorable pretzel has to be one of the most coveted tastes at Walt Disney World Resort. You can only find them one place: in Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom at Frontierland Pretzel Wagon between the Diamond Horseshoe and Pecos Bill Cafe (next to the turkey leg cart). Pair the twist with cheese and chocolate dipping sauces. Insiders tell us it’s still in “testing phase” at Walt Disney World Resort, but we bet it’s here to stay.

You also can find it at Disneyland park at Refreshment Corner, Bengal Barbecue, Frontierland Pretzel, Small World Pretzel and Tomorrowland Pretzel. At Disney California Adventure Park, they are sold at Bayside Brews, the Beer Truck and Hollywood Pretzel. Have you joined the Mickey pretzel craze and tried one yet?

  • Yes! I’ve been to disneyworld several times and never had it.

I was just on my first trip to Disneyland and had it at Bengal BBQ.

Very tasty! and it was snack for 3 of us!

  • I would buy and eat one of those!

  • Oh man, soft pretzels are seriously one of my favorite foods ever! If I had one in the shape of Mickey Mouse though, that would make it 10 times better! Hopefully they’ll still be around in December!

  • I hope that this is still around when we visit in October! It will be our first trip with our new baby and soft pretzels were the food that got me through the first trimester! Having a Mickey pretzel would be so special!!

  • Please tell me it counts as a snack option on the Disney Dining Plan?!?!

    • Yes, the pretzel is a snack on the Disney Dining Plan!

  • Any idea if it is safe for people with peanut or dairy allergies?

  • I have one of these EVERY time I go to Disneyland, with a side of the cheese sauce. My boyfriend usually gets the ear and I get the rest. 😛

  • Mmmm… I am hungry…

  • I hear about Dole Whips and Premium Mickey Ice Cream Bars more than I hear about pretzels.

  • They need to supply these at the German Pavilion in EPCOT!!

  • I always get one of these when I go to Disneyland. At one point Disneyland started selling normal shaped pretzels too and it was harder to find the Mickey ones, which seems wrong. But Either way you can still get the Mickey ones at Bengal BBQ and one other place. It is the only pretzel i’ll buy at Disneyland.

  • I used to sell them at Disneyland at the Mile Long Bar and then the Brea Bar. They flew out the door then too. Apparently they are good for a get it and go breakfast. If they are on the meal plan, go for it! Breakfast of champions!!

  • I cannot wait to go back Sept 30th My daughter is going to flip for one of these I had no idea they even made them! Awesome Post!!!

  • Hope they are there when I visit WDW in 2 1/2 weeks. Does anybody know the price of the Mickey pretzel?

  • I am going in November and can’t wait to try one!

  • These are the pretzels they serve now in Disneyland, and honestly I’m not a big fan. I LOVE the traditional pretzels I can get at DW in FL, but these Mickey heads always seem a bit dry and over cooked, not doughy like the others. They’re cute, but that’s about it.

  • I will be there on September 8 – 11th and will definitely check it out! Can’t wait!!!

  • Bought this pretzel 2 weeks ago when we were in Disney World. It was delicious! It’s also quite large-enough for sharing! To make the deal even sweeter, it’s a snack on the dining plan!

  • I LOVE LOVE THESE! CANT WAIT TO GET ONE IN OCT!

  • Yum!!! Will definitely be stopping in Frontierland for one of these in November. My girls are excited about having one too. Even the hubby, who doesn’t like pretzels, says they look good.

  • Oh Wow! I love soft pretzels! And this one looks like it could be a snack for more than one person!!

  • I was just there! I wish I had known about these, they look yummy, oh well, hopefully they will still be around when i get back in March!

  • I would love to try one, can’t wait till our next trip!

  • oooohhhh….love it!!!!!!

  • Coming to Disney World in September, would LOVE to have one of these Mickey Pretzels!!

  • A large pretzel is always on my plan for a snack at least once while at disneyworld………must be very new, we were there in july , didnt see them, but then again just couldnt eat at every restraunt, too many to choose from. Sure ate at my fair share of them though!!!!!!!

  • Love it, can We get one here, or do We have to wait for our next trip?

  • I usually don’t go for pretzels, but I would stop dead in my tracks and buy mickey… and love it!

  • Very cute! Surprised it was introduced along time ago. Glad to her it’s a snack on the dining plan, too. So,it’s a yes here!

  • I think it’s a cute novelty, and I would buy one. BUT, I’m hoping that the other pretzels (jalapeno cream cheese filled) still exist at other locations around Disney World. Please tell me these haven’t been discontinued.

  • My family and I especially enjoy the pretzels stuffed with sweetened cream cheese and spicy cheese sold at the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom respectively. Can you stuff the Mickey pretzel? We will be sure to try it regardless! YUM!

  • We have a surprise WDW Christmas vacation planned for my 6, 3 & 1 year old. This will be a must have snack! Can’t wait!!

  • Can’t wait to try it! I love the ones at Epcot in Future World but they are not the Mickey ones!

  • oh my! we were there last weekend and totally missed these! I think the rain moved us out of the Magic Kingdom earlier than we expected. Guess we’ll just have to go back!

  • Soft pretzles are one of my favorite snacks! So one that looks like Mickey AND is on the Dining Plan would be perfection! Plus hubby could grab his turkey leg while I snag my Mickey pretzle.

It would be a great addition to the waterparks, as well.

  • Chocolate? What about mustard? Mmmmmm, mustard.

  • I’m delighted to see this! I have dietary restrictions and can’t enjoy fun snacks like the Mickey ice cream bars. I can’t wait to have one when we go to WDW in a few weeks!!

  • Oh please have those in November! I don’t mind cheese dip for pretzels, but i would prefer cream cheese!

  • That’s a lot of pretzel! Imagine two kids could share it with ease.

  • My boys would love these. We love soft pretzels and unfortunately most of the soft pretzels at WDW are not safe for people with peanut/tree nut allergies. It would be awesome if these were safe for kids with nut allergies!!!!

  • I’m surprised that WDW didn’t have them before! Because they were such a standard at DL, I was SURE they had them at WDW too. I’ve never been to WDW so I couldn’t vouch for it xD

  • I am going to get one of those when we are in WDW! But why only 1 location? You should consider making cinnamon-sugar ones. That would be a great breakfast treat while walking through the park.

  • My kids and I would love one of these pretzels.

  • That looks like one tasty pretzel!!! I would love to try one and I’m sure my two boys would agree! I’ll be looking for it the next time we are at Disney World! 🙂

  • I can’t wait to get one when we go in December… They look yummy…

  • Looks like a fun snack. We’ll be there in 12 days. Gotta get at least one!

  • YUM. Hubby says he would have them with mustard, too.

  • Any chance there will be gluten free Mickey Pretzels someday?

  • Looks good! I and my whole family would get one each! What is the price or did I read it is on the dining plan?

  • OMG!!! We are going to WDW in October, this will definately be the first snack we run to get! PLEASE make this a permanent offering! Can’t wait to get ours! YUM!!!
