  • Any word on when Earl Of Sandwich will open?

    • Not yet, Chris – but keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for an update on this soon.

  • A huge congratulations to everyone at Disney who has been involved in this amazing undertaking. The transformation looks amazing, and I am sure cast and fans alike will enjoy the rewards of this massive and ambitious project for decades to come.

  • Let me just say I am looking forward to seeing all of the new attractions this year at Disneyland!

I couldn’t find a better place to submit this suggestion than this blog, especially since the prices of annual passes just increased and a lot of new attractions will be opening in a week’s time. Please create a Premium Annual pass that allows the passholder to bring a guest to the Disneyland resort. For example, the pass itself would cost $1300 (the price of two premium annual passes) and the annual passholder could bring in one guest per day (to re-enter for the day would require a re-entry handstamp & the guest card).

I personally have this type of pass for the San Diego Zoo, and it accomplishes several things. Since I can bring a different person each time I go, I am more likely to visit the zoo. The guest I am bringing is someone who likely would not have come to the zoo otherwise. My husband works Saturdays; if my mother came to visit us, with the current annual passes I would likely not take her to Disneyland because it would be $125 for a park hopper for her. If I had the pass with a guest pass, I would definitely use Saturday to bring her to Disneyland with me. Or my father, or my in-laws, my daughter’s sitter, etc…people who would not have gone due to the price of admission otherwise.

Since the guest is getting in for “free” thanks to the passholder, I find that the guest is more likely to spend money in the park than a regular annual passholder. I took my daughter’s sitter to the zoo as my guest. She purchased lots of items from the gift shop, and I also felt inwardly pressured to buy my daughter a small stuffed animal as well, since she was. If it were my husband and I (who go all the time), I would not have purchased anything from the park (no gift shop items, food or drinks).

Maybe it works better for the zoo than Disneyland, but if there were a $1300 premium pass that allowed the one passholder the right to bring a different guest each time if they so wished, I would buy that today.

  • As much as I love Toy Story Midway Mania, I feel that The Little Mermaid- Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will always be special because that was the first attraction that I’ve enjoyed on it’s opening day

  • GREAT WEBSITE but did u forget Great Moments of Mr. Lincoln?
