Donning the world’s largest bumper sticker and tooting her horn down the Hudson River when she arrived in New York City last week, the Disney Magic didn’t keep it a secret that Disney Cruise Line is excited to be sailing from the Big Apple for the first time!
And judging from the greetings the ship received, New Yorkers are just as excited. Some waved from the shoreline while others watched out their office windows. A few fans even followed the ship through the harbor on boats!
Many people tweeted @DisneyCruise their welcome messages, and we also caught up with some New Yorkers who wanted us to share their greetings with you. Check out this fun video to see how people all over the city said “Welcome to New York, Disney Magic!”

I was lucky enough to be able to see the Magic! I was on a trip to NYC for three days in a huge group. We were on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty from Ellis Island, and the Magic was in the harbor. It was such a magical moment! Sadly, I didn’t have enough time to snap a picture, but I will remember the moment forever.
My family and I were on this cruise and had the most wonderful vacation! Cruising from NYC was fantastic. We hope Disney plans to sail again from NYC in years to come.
My family and I will be sailing on the Magic next Sunday….can’t wait!!!!!
