UPDATE: The Disney Side ‘Not-So-Scary’ Soiree entry period has ended. Please continue to check the Disney Parks Blog for future events.

It’ll be tough to top the great time we had during last year’s Halloween event hosted by the Disney Parks Blog but we think that’ll happen at this year’s Disney Side “Not-So-Scary” Soiree at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. On Sunday, September 14, we’re hosting another costumed event during one of the first nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 91 winners of the Disney Side “Not-So-Scary” Soiree at Magic Kingdom Park Sweepstakes.

Disney Side ‘Not-So-Scary’ Soiree at Magic Kingdom Park

The Disney Side “Not-So-Scary” Soiree at Magic Kingdom Park begins at 7 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 14 but we’re asking attendees to begin arriving at 4:00 p.m EDT. We’ll kick off the night with VIP parade viewing in front of Cinderella Castle and then VIP fireworks viewing before heading inside the Castle for a “witching hour” Villains Soiree that’ll include appearances by Disney Villains, music and fantastic desserts inspired by Disney Parks characters.

Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes (no masks) and it’d be great if it was a Disney Parks-inspired costume, subject to the costume guidelines below.

You can enter for a chance to win by clicking here and following the entry instructions to complete an official entry form. Your Entry must state your valid email address (“Address”) and full name.

Also, there are a few things you should know:

  • All attendees who sign up for the event must be 18 years or older and a resident of Florida as of September 9, 2014, but guests of the winners do not need to be 18 or older.
  • Limit one guest per winner in the promotion.
  • We will send a notice to the winning entrants.
  • It will be necessary for the winner and guest to check in at the front of Magic Kingdom Park for access to the event. The notice will include those details.
  • Valid photo I.D. will be required at check-in.
  • Costumes should not be obstructive, offensive or violent; drag on the ground; contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another guest; contain any weapons or objects which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Masks will not be permitted.
  • Winning prizes are non-transferrable and have no cash value.

I hope to see you in your best costume on September 14.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void where prohibited. Open only to persons who are legal residents of, and physically located within, Florida, and who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Starts 12:00:01 P.M. on September 9, 2014, and ends 3:00:00 P.M. on September 9, 2014. To enter online, follow the instructions at https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/09/disney-side-no-so-scary-soiree-at-magic-kingdom-park-official-rules/. Limit one (1) Entry per person per Address. Click here for Official Rules.

  • We are so excited we won! Can’t wait to see the other winners there!

  • I never got an email period. I’m assuming that it means that I wasn’t one of the lucky people.

  • Me neither, Ryan. Maybe we will have better luck next time!!

  • Ryan – How do you know you didn’t win? Did you get a “Sorry you didn’t win” email?

  • I didn’t win. 🙁

  • OMG I won!! (doing the happy dance)
Thank You so Much Disney Blog!!! See You There!

Now to see what I will wear!!
My little one will be Captain America.

Keep checking your emails Hope you all get in! 🙂

  • I too am anxiously checking my email in hopes of being selected. I know who I’d bring as my guest, I’m just hoping the winners will be announced soon so that they can plan costumes. And those that didn’t win won’t keep searching for that elusive email.

  • Tom, any news yet on the winners? I finally got to enter during the time frame listed and now am going crazy like Ryan checking my email. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

  • Out of sheer curiosity, have the winners been notified yet (you know, just so that I can stop wondering and constantly checking my email to see if I’ve won or not)?

  • Is a list of the winners going to be posted on the site? Thank you!

  • September 14 is so soon! I hope we get the Winners List soon so we can plan!

  • September 14 is so soon! I hope we get the Winner’s List today so that we can plan!

  • Are you guys going to be posting a list of winners like your other events?

  • Will a list of winners be posted as in the past?

  • Have the winners already been notified? Will everyone who entered get an email letting them know if they were selected or not?

  • Wouldn’t ya know it, first time I’ve ever been able to join in a Blog meet, and I don’t arrive on my trip till the 15th!
(Now I have to miss out on seeing Maleficent and the Queen, just like all the other “left out” MNSSHP guests who couldn’t get a Castle invite.) 🙁

  • Why Florida residents only? Does it have to do with the way the entry is being handled? It hasn’t been like that in the past for Blog Meet-Ups.

  • Agree with Ryan, the rules were a little confusing. “One entry per person per address” does not mean the same thing as “one entry per person.”

  • Started my entry at 2:55, submitted at 3pm…blocked. No kidding on the 3pm deadline

  • Oh my I got so excited I didn’t check if I entered my email right!!! Excitement took over me!!!
    woo hoo……

  • Hi, it is possible for us to remove duplicate entries? “Address” is defined as “email address” in the rules, so we did one entry per person per email address as the rules initially appear to permit, but buried deeper in the full rule document it says one email address per person. Sorry! We’d hate for that to be a reason for disqualification. We’ll remove all extras if possible. Sorry again, and thank you!

  • So excited!! Can’t wait to hear from you

  • Awesome! When will we know if we won… sometime today?

    • Yes, the entry period ends at 3 p.m. today. Thanks, Ethan.
