Comments

  • A nice import of the regular (no premium ticket) civilized afternoon teas at the Grand Floridian’s Garden View room, before that started to be taken over by Princess events.
Guess Disneyland Hotel was the closest that the West coast had, although too bad that can’t be a regular option too.

  • This sounds lovely! Is the cost per person or is each “party” for a couple of people?

    • Cost for afternoon tea is per person.

  • Sounds wonderful! Will this be a permanent event, or is it a limited engagement? We are planning a trip for January 2017, I would love to add this to our schedule.

    • Hi Jennifer, Right now, Afternoon Tea will be offered through spring of 2016, keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for any updates.

  • Does a person have to buy a Disney day ticket to go to the Tea? Can ladies come dressed in Victorian or Edwardian gowns? Can group of ladies make a reservation for 10 or more?

    • Afternoon Tea is located at Disneyland Hotel, so park tickets are not required. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for groups and can be made by calling 714-781-DINE. As for dress, all guests must comply with Disneyland Resort policy in regards to wearing costumes.

  • We will be joining you for tea on Valentines day!

  • This all sounds amazing. Will many of the food options be vegan?

    • As with all our dining offerings, our chefs are happy to accommodate most dietary requests, such as preparing vegan selections upon request.

  • Does AP discount apply?

    • Yes! 🙂

  • Is the Premium Party option the only one with Mickey-shaped food?

  • Is this only offered on the weekend?

  • Is this considered table service or do the parties serve themselves (more like a buffet)? It looks like the trays are per table, but just want to clarify 🙂

  • Hi Pam, I see the price for the classic tea party is $50 and $65 for the premium tea party. Is that the price per person, or for the whole thing?

  • Excited about the tea celebration, my husband and I had planned for our Valentine’s treat, I called a few times after I made the reservation. I wanted to know all about the tea.. Unfortunately, no one I talked to had ever “done tea.” So I would like to share our experience with you. I was confused as to where exactly Steakhouse 55 was. The Disneyland operator on the phone told me you would run right into it if you walked from downtown Disney, it would be at the very end after the movie theater. Or you can valet park for free at the Disneyland Hotel with a validation the restaurant will give you.

As we approached the end of the walk way. I noticed a bell hop carrying packages. He pointed us to the right direction and we instantly made it to our destination. We were greeted by 3 very nice hostesses as we checked in. They showed us where to sit and wait until our name was called.

After a few minutes we were taken into the elegant tea room. Crisp white linen table cloths covered the tables. The room was filled with people enjoying their tea. When we sat down, we were handed a menu with several options of tea servings. I told the waitress about my food restriction, I advised me to talk to the chef.

While my husband ordered his tea, I talked to the chef about my specific needs. The chef actually custom made me a meal to my liking. He popped out of the kitchen a few times to see how I liked what he had prepared for me. “Yummy,” I told him. (And it really was). We chose the premium tea service with the sparkling wine because it sounded just right for our celebration. Everyone there catered to us as we relaxed and enjoyed our tea.

The tea seemed to take the longest wait time. They let you chose as many tea varieties as you like. With my scones and sandwiches I wanted to try the Tangerine (Mandarin Rooibos)
    Caffeine-Free, Herbal
Enticing blend infused with sweet character of sunny citrus, rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

I wanted to try the Mountain Berry
    Caffeine-Free, Herbal
A ripe and fruity melange of superfood Saskatoon Berries, red and black Currants, Raisins and wild Blueberries.
With my dessert, but by the time the tea came I had already eaten the dessert..
My suggestion.. Order your tea selections at the same time.

Now that I know how to do tea there, I am excitedly looking forward to my next visit!

  • Hello! i was wondering what Disney would consider as a child for this as obviously teenagers cant be drinking alcohol.
