I love popcorn! There’s something magical when listening to the air popper I have at home “pop, pop, pop” a fresh batch. I find the same enjoyment when watching fresh popcorn is made at places like Karamell-Küche in Germany Pavilion at Epcot. Recently, the Consumables team at Disney Parks Merchandise introduced several new flavors of pre-packaged popcorn to their Main Street Popcorn Company line. I spoke with merchandiser Patrice Guy to learn about these delicious additions.

“They are really yummy,” exclaimed Patrice when I asked her about the new popcorn flavors. “This is the first time since the Main Street Popcorn Company line was introduced that we’ve done a complete packaging update to the program. We also have several new and unique flavors that complement traditional flavors our guests love.”

The first thing I noticed when visiting Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom Park was the updated graphics provided by Disney Design Group. The vintage Mickey Mouse artwork was created by artist Jeff Granito who you may recall also designed some of the upcoming Magic Kingdom 45th Anniversary artwork.

Guests will continue finding traditional popcorn flavors such as caramel, kettle corn, cheddar or confetti. New popcorn flavors include Sriracha kettle corn, parmesan garlic, kettle corn with red alaea salt, truffle, churro and maple bacon.

“Overall, the most popular new flavor is maple bacon,” continued Patrice. “At Disneyland Resort, guests love the churro-flavored popcorn. Sweet flavors continue to be extremely popular in the marketplace. We’ve also seen an increase of savory flavors in the market, so we added some options like Sriracha kettle corn.”

The Main Street Popcorn Company line is carried in select merchandise locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.

I’d love to hear about your favorite popcorn flavor. Please share in the comments below.

  • Can these be bought with our dining plan snack credits?
    Thanks!

  • Is it possible to buy online? I’m military stationed overseas, pregnabt, and desperately craving Main Street Popcorn kettle corn!! Thanks in advance!

  • Are any of the flavors (new or old) Gluten free? Many of them sound delicious, and would love to try when we visit WDW in August, but I have Celiac disease and must avoid Gluten and wheat at all costs…..

  • I eat more of that Confetti popcorn than I want to consider, any and every time I visit the park. Now we’re adding Churro flavor into the mix? And keeping the older flavors?!
    This pleases me.

  • I spotted the churro flavor in the gift shop at the Grand Californian in Disneyland. We ate one bag in the car on the way home, and I’m regretting the fact that we only bought three bags. It’s delicious!

    • @Stephanie – How wonderful! It’s a great flavor. I hope you had a nice visit. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel is one of my favorite resorts.

  • There used to be a cart in Critter Country that sold honey popcorn (or maybe it was caramel?)…either way it was so delicious and fresh and warm! I sure miss that! But these flavors look amazing!! I can’t wait to try them next week!!

    • @Dana – I hope you have a magical visit 🙂

  • The Tokyo Disney parks had every sort of flavor of popcorn you could imagine, except for plain old buttered popcorn!

  • Eager to try the truffle and maple bacon flavors! Also, I’d so buy other merch –mugs, placemats, pendant, lanyard medal– with that artwork.

  • The artist Jeff Granito hit that design out of the park! Can’t wait to try the different flavors!

  • Cheddar and Caramel are my all-time favs, but I was there last week and tried the Kettle Corn. It is amazing, too. I brought home bags of all of them.

    • @Deleshia – How wonderful. Hope you had a fantastic visit 🙂

  • Oh yum! Gotta try new flavors the next trip. The cheddar popcorn is always my after-ride treat after I get off Tower of Terror, but now I’ll have to try something different.

  • Also, it’s SRIracha, if we’re watching the spelling….

  • We just bought the Churro flavor at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and it was delicious! Can’t wait to try Maple Bacon.

  • Just a quick note: It’s “ConfectionEry” not “ConfectionAry” 🙂

    • @Emily – Thank you.

  • Yay!!! I’m so excited to try the new flavors! I’d love to see the U.S. Parks try some limited edition flavors as well from around the world. Tokyo has some amazing popcorn flavors that I would love to try as well!! This is a good start, keep it up! ??

    • @Marci – Right on! When I visited Tokyo Disney Resort in May 2002, I was in love with their honey flavored popcorn.
