Moms Panel Monday: Disney Cruise Line Awards

Our Disney Parks Moms Panel Awards continue, and this week the spotlight shines on Disney Cruise Line. Many of our panelists have sailed the ocean on these magical cruise ships and here are a few of their favorite things:

Favorite Broadway Style Show
And the award goes to … Disney’s Believe! For the second year in a row, this show has taken the top spot. We think it has to do with the heartwarming story this musical tells about a father and his love for his daughter. Runner-ups in this category included Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic and Tangled: The Musical. Don’t miss out of the brand new “Beauty & the Beast” aboard Disney Dream! The Disney Cruise Line specialists at the Disney Parks Moms Panel recommend arriving early for the show to get the perfect seat.

Favorite Adults Only Space
The overwhelming choice was a delectable dinner at Palo. This adults only dining spot features Northern Italian cooking with a modern twist. Did you know it is named Palo after the signature long poles used by gondoliers in Venice? Senses Spa and Salon, as well as Serenity Bay at Disney Castaway Cay, were also among the top vote getters for some relaxing adults only time.

Favorite Family Fun
For many, family time is what a Disney Cruise is all about. And from the results of this vote, it is quite obvious that our panel loves Pirate Night. It was far and away the favorite in this category again this year. Our panelists enjoy the “Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party” and getting to dress as their favorite pirate. But, their favorite part is the spectacular fireworks show, the only fireworks show at sea. Arrr matey … it’s a pirate’s life for us!

Favorite Youth Club
This was a close one, but in the end Disney’s Oceaneer Club came out on top as the favorite place for kiddos. Here, children ages three to 12, meet new friends, participate in interactive experience and get to spend some quality time with some of their favorite Disney friends, while mom and dad enjoy a date night of their own. Honorable mentions go to Vibe and Edge.
