We have thrilling news for those of you counting down the days until Toy Story Land opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on June 30 – FastPass+ reservations are now open for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Effective today, guests who are up to 60 days from their Walt Disney World Resort hotel check-in can choose one FastPass+ reservation for one of the Toy Story Land attractions, plus two other attractions in the park such as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and more, depending on availability.

But FastPass+ reservations are just one of the ways guests can experience Toy Story Land. Beginning July 1, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also operate from 8 a.m-10:30 p.m. for a limited time. In addition, even more Extra Magic Hour opportunities will be available including daily morning Extra Magic Hours, plus evening Extra Magic Hours offered once per week.

Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie at Disney's Hollywood Studios

When Toy Story Land debuts on June 30, guests will “shrink” to the size of a toy and join in on the fun Woody, Jessie, Buzz, and Andy’s other beloved toys are having in Andy’s backyard. Here, guests can ride Slinky Dog Dash, a roller coaster Andy has assembled from his Mega Coaster Play Kit, take a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers, walk through a new carnival game box to experience Toy Story Mania!, grab a tasty snack at Woody’s Lunchbox – and even meet some of the characters from “Toy Story” films!

Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for coverage of the exciting Toy Story Land expansion.

  • I assume that those staying off property will also be able to reserve fastpasses? Or is this just special to those staying on property? I’m just trying to figure out if I am going to be in the stand-by line or be able to get a fastpass for Toy Story Midway Mania when I come next week. I am staying off property.

  • Will there be a soft opening prior to the official one? For Pandora they had 2 weeks prior that AP holders could check it out early.

  • All Walt Disney World® Resorts, Official Walt Disney World® Hotels(Formally known as the Disney Springs™ Area Hotels), Four Seasons, and the Walt Disney World® Swan and Dolphin Hotels have a 60-day booking window along with Extra Magic Hours.

The FastPass+ window is open for Guests whose 60-day booking window has opened and their stay extends through June 30, 2018. (Guests can book a reservation that is up to 30 days long)

  • Please clarify: Select Resort??? Which resorts? This info should be listed somewhere. It would help booking hotels… My family is excited… I really wish there was a soft opening. As an annual pass member it would help!

  • I contact DVC and asked about this. They said that guests staying at Club level, bungalow or cascade cabins can purchase additional fastpasses and can book fastpasses 90 days in advance. The cast member said those are the resort guests who can book now.

  • 2019 sorry for the typo! there!

  • Sadness that we will miss this GRANDE opening. 🙁

Happiness because in October the calendar for another flight for 2019 will be advanced and we can book our 2018 WDW Vacation! 🙂

I may try to sneak a peak while there this May!!

  • I am thinking this means for guests that may be staying for a while where the end of the trip is opening day. They may be within 60 days and then be able to make FP reservations as the window opens to book for the entire trip once the first day of the trip is 60 days out. Is that correct?

  • I’m confused by use of the phrase “select wdw resorts”. Are some no longer eligible for the 60 day FP+ window?

  • Can I get clarification, when you say the fP window opened. Is it for reservations from the 30th on or is it allowing people to start booking fp who will be there before June 30th?

  • Melissa – if someone books a 14 night/15 day Magic Your Way package (the max allowed), their arrival day would be June 16 and the length of their trip would allow them to book FP+ for June 30.

  • @Melissa Completely agree. I saw the news and was like, is it really so close to July? (We arrive on July 9 and thought, and was right, that we still had a few weeks to go :)).

  • Why are season pass holders not getting a preview time like other attractions?

  • I just tried looking this up and the calendar won’t let me go past May are these being handled in a different way then normal fast passes?

  • I check in on 6/30, which is opening day. It is 74 days from now, so how is the fastpass window open?
