From special treats celebrating the return of the “Main Street Electrical Parade” and a brand-new menu at Lucky Fortune Cookery, to special novelties at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and a limited-edition mug coming to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, there’s quite a bit to be excited about at the Disneyland Resort right now. I already gave you some yummy details about new offerings coming to the Walt Disney World Resort, but now it’s time to head on over to the west coast for a second edition of this month’s Best Bites.

Main Street Electrical Parade Popcorn Bucket at Disneyland Park

To start off, if you haven’t had any of the specialty treats inspired by the “Main Street Electrical Parade” at Disneyland park, then you’re definitely missing out! In addition to the treats I talked about a few weeks ago, you can now find a fun new popcorn bucket to help you celebrate the return of this beloved nighttime parade. The bucket can be found at various popcorn carts throughout the park, and is refillable on the same day of purchase for $1.50 (with receipt).

And speaking of novelties, if you’re planning on traveling to Black Spire Outpost at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, then you just HAVE to grab one of the cute mouse droid popcorn buckets at Kat Saka’s Kettle. It’s the perfect little companion to hold your delicious sweet and savory popcorn. In addition, you can also get a souvenir sipper jug from the Milk Stand (which is also another location that offers mobile ordering!). Fill ‘er up with Blue Milk or Green Milk and you have a sweet on-the-go refreshment.

Entrées from Lucky Fortune Cookery at Disney California Adventure Park

On the other side of the resort at Disney California Adventure park, Lucky Fortune Cookery has unveiled a brand new menu! Located on Pacific Wharf, this quick-service restaurant features incredible Asian cuisine. The menu includes teriyaki chicken and Szechuan chicken (both served with sautéed vegetables and steamed rice) as well as a beef bulgogi wrap served with garlic-flavored chips, and pork ramen topped with nori, roasted corn, and green onion. If you’re looking for a good plant-based option, then the vegan banh mi served with lemongrass-cucumber salad is the way to go. There’s even a kid’s portion of the vegan banh mi as well as a kid’s chicken and rice dish.

For smaller bites, you can chow down on a plate of crispy vegetable pot stickers or Korean-style chicken wings tossed in garlic-serrano chile sauce. You can also get a few ramen toppings like spicy miso, a soft-boiled egg, or sautéed mushrooms. If you’re feeling thirsty, adults can enjoy a Japanese mule with Japanese whiskey, ginger beer, and simple syrup or a Lucky Dragon IPA featuring locally-sourced orange and lemon. Guests of all ages can sip on Vietnamese coffee or hot green tea.

And don’t forget – mobile ordering is now available for Lucky Fortune Cookery and many other quick-service locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. Just head on over to the Disneyland app to view full menus, order in advance and skip the lines to get straight to the food!

Limited Release Golden Piranha Tiki Mug from the Disneyland Hotel

Finally, if you’re a Tiki mug fan, you’ll definitely want to know about this next announcement! Just in time for D23 this weekend, there will be a special limited release of a new Golden Piranha Tiki Mug exclusively at the Disneyland Hotel. If you’re looking to purchase the mug by itself, you’ll be able to find it in the Mark Twain Room on Friday, August 23 from 7am to 6pm while supplies last. You’ll also be able to find it at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar for purchase with the Piranha Pool specialty cocktail, starting Saturday, August 24. The cocktail features strawberry vodka blended with pineapple juice, cream of coconut, strawberry purée, and blue curaçao. Remember, this mug will only be available while supplies last. The mug by itself will be $30 plus tax or $45 plus tax and gratuity with the beverage (non-alcoholic beverage available upon request). Mugs are limited to two (2) per guest and are non-discountable.
