This month in Disney Doodles, we’re focusing on witch characters, and what they may wish to do or see if they had a chance to visit the Walt Disney World Resort.

In the very beginning of the 1991 animated film, “Beauty and the Beast,” the Enchantress character was the one who transformed the arrogant prince into the Beast, and gave him the enchanted rose, instructing him to find true love before the last petal fell so that he would learn the value of love.

According to artist Ashley Taylor, if the mysterious Enchantress had a chance to visit Magic Kingdom Park, she may check up on Belle and Beast at Be Our Guest Restaurant.

“The Enchantress from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is a teacher and storyteller,” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine her sharing the story of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ using the stained glass windows at the Be Our Guest Restaurant.”

  • What an excellent choice for this series! Such an enchanting (no pun intended) character, with a short but important role to play in one of Disney’s most endearing movies. With her lesson of love for the Prince-turned-Beast, the Enchantress is the perfect choice to show that not all witches are bad!
