  • I’m excited to go.
I’ve been going to Disneyland since I was 2 in 1974. I remember when Gay couples weren’t allowed to hold hands or kiss in public, especially at Disneyland. I’m now 50 and haven’t had a boyfriend what wanted to go to Disneyland with me, so even though I’ll be going alone I’m thrilled to be going as my true self with others who are going to be their true selves.
Maybe I’ll meet someone special. 😉 Regardless, it’s going to be a wonderful night.

  • I so hope we get to see some cute merch then from The Owl House as Luz and Amity are a couple! It would be so great to introduce them into the parks!

  • This is great! I hope all who attend have a marvelous time. So, when will you announce the dates for the “celebrating heterosexuals nights” at Disney? or the Special Olympics nights …Do these nights get special attire for characters, special food, and special merchandise and commemorative keepsakes?

  • My favorite part of this entire event is the “three-hour pre-party mix-in”! It’s so amazing that Disney had in the forefront of their mind that they should reallocate some time to the stars of the show – Alllll the amazing people that will be at this event!!

I love when bigots are confronted faxe to face by their own ugly hatred in the most beautiful and loving way!

  • love this thank you Disney xoxo the best place on Earth !!

  • Money grab for Disney!

  • Will the proper dress code remain in effect? Or is it just going to be a major drag show by all the attendees?

  • This sounds awesome! Can’t wait until it comes to WDW so I can go.

  • Looks fun!

  • So I like the idea but….

    1. These outfits are kinda hideous.
    2. They’re not rainbow.
    3. Seeing stuff like this just accentuates how Disney has zero greetable explicitly queer characters.

When we celebrate Mardis Gras, Tiana is there, not just Mickey in green, purple, and yellow. Mulan, Mushu, & co. are there for Lunar New Year, not just the gang in red. Day of the Dead? Coco. Navidad? Three Caballeros.

As is, it’s a little…lacking. And the non-rainbow outfits (these look more like bad 80s attire than anything you’d see at a pride parade) make it feel like Disney wants the rainbow bucks without the risk.

  • How much are the tickets? Also, do we need to make a park reservation? Thanks.

  • Sounds amazing! Would love to see this in Orlando at Magic Kingdom! Excited to see all the pics from the event 😀

  • Magic kingdom needs one, this is so great!

  • My wife and I got engaged at Disneyland on June 7 2016 and our wedding (which was disney themed) anniversary is June 13 so this event feels like it was made for us. Thanks for finally making us feel seen. We love you Disney!

  • Juan not only is the Food and Wine Festival but also the holiday food festival that have quite a few vegan options available! Also don’t forget The Flower and Garden Show at WDW. Even a Spirit Jersey or 2 for those events! You can celebrate Veganism then. Let LGBTQIA+ community and allies and families have these 2 OFFICIAL days + the month to celebrate who they are and their rights to be who they are and the love that they embody and the support they want and need. I along with many others think that this will be a great party and it’s obviously welcome to all who give support as well, you can come join or if you don’t want to, stay home but that’s your choice. These amazing and lovely people were born this way and they are too often outcasted and attacked for being themselves which IS NOT okay. This is just a small way to say “hey we love you and support you and we’re so happy that you’re here” and it’s a reminder to celebrate individuality and uniqueness and the equality of love which is what being human is about. If you don’t agree then that’s okay this just isn’t for you. No need to put others down. Thanks!

  • Okay Disney, now it’s time for a WDW version at Magic Kingdom. Please 🙂

  • @Juan. Because vegans can’t be part of the LGBTIA+ community? 😂

  • Probably because vegans don’t generally have their rights and lives threatened on a daily basis.

  • This is awesome. Thanks Disneyland for showing that all of your LGBTQIA+ guests and allies are important to you!

  • Thank you Disney <3

  • Oh Juan. If other members of your fellow human race have an Orientation that isn’t the same as yours, have a special fun night out (and pay a premium ticket to do so)… it’s all still going to be ok. Have a wonderful day. And a rainbow colored frosted cupcake. 😉

  • I LOVE this. So very excited to bring some friends with my husband and I. Thank you Disneyland. And it’s great pass holders can have early access.

  • Last time I checked, vegans weren’t being attacked by a political party and having state legislatures deny them fundamental rights. What a daft comment.

  • I love this! I’m looking forward to attending!!

  • When vegans become a persecuted group of people who have to fight for basic human rights every other week, they can absolutely have a separately ticketed event at Disneyland. 🙂

  • This is beautiful thank you! Juan, your bigotry is unwelcome here.

  • I love this! Wish we could have one at WDW, too. Please, please do the community a huge favor and moderate the comments on the social media post for this event. They aren’t very kind.

  • Juan, no. Vegans are not currently having their rights stripped away by politicians. Vegans are not discriminated against for something they cannot change. The LGBTQIA+ community needs safe, fun events like this to combat the massive amount of hate that is being thrown at them. So please, don’t contribute to the hate train and just let people live their lives authentically and freely.

  • Only right that the Happiest Place on Earth celebrates love in all of it’s forms. Sounds like so much fun!
