Ted Robledo

Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney Imagineering

Ted Robledo, executive creative director for Walt Disney Imagineering, provides creative direction for various artistic and engineering disciplines as they bring stories and characters to life for guests at Disney parks around the world. Ted is currently the executive creative director of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at both Disneyland Park in California and Magic Kingdom Park in Florida, inspired by the fan-favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “The Princess and the Frog.”

 

While at Walt Disney Imagineering, Ted has been an integral part of several teams of Imagineers responsible for blue sky development, design, and production of attractions in the United States and Asia. He provided artistic and design direction for several attractions of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Fantasyland expansion project, including Be Our Guest Restaurant, Gaston’s Tavern, Princess Fairytale Hall and the TEA award-winning Enchanted Tales with Belle.

 

In his role as creative director for Iron Man Experience at Hong Kong Disneyland, he helped bring the first-ever Super Hero ride attraction to a Disney theme park. As creative director for the Tokyo Disneyland Expansion project, which opened in 2020, Ted provided creative leadership for the largest growth of its kind in the park’s history, including a new Beauty and the Beast themed village and attraction (The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast), Fantasyland Forest Theatre and Minnie’s Style Studio.

 

Ted began his professional career as a music teacher, and then as a designer in the graphic design and print industry while simultaneously working as a storyboard and visual development artist for television projects. His career at Disney began at Disney Consumer Products as an artist for the interactive and gaming divisions. His work outside of Disney includes art director and design department management roles in media development, marketing, online entertainment, services, and products.

 

Ted received a degree in in Illustration from California State University, Fullerton.
