The wait is finally over! The new Mickey and Friends game Disney Illusion Island debuts exclusively for Nintendo Switch today! Disney Illusion Island finds Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy on a whimsical journey to explore the mysterious island of Monoth.

Summoned to the island of Monoth by the Hokuns and their leader, Toku, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy vow to be heroes and to save the world and its furry inhabitants. Play as your favorite character and discover what starts as a casual island picnic quickly sprawls into a grand new adventure. Navigate the three, never-before-seen hand-crafted biomes of Pavonia, Gizmopolis, and Astrono with rich environments to explore. Featuring authentic voice actors for Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy and an original orchestral score, you can experience a genuine Mickey & Friends adventure!

Dedicated Park goers who know where to look for Hidden Mickeys can use their detective skills to find a number of Hidden Mickeys in Disney Illusion Island as well. Check your surroundings as you solve fun puzzles, meet curious new friends, and thwart peculiar foes – the Fab Four will take a group selfie at each sighting so try to collect them all as you explore the Island of Monoth!

Disney Illusion Island is a great game for new and experienced gamers, families, or up to three friends. Fans eager to try video games for the first time can turn on the Infinite Heart setting. Teams can work together in local multiplayer utilizing skills such as Rope Drop, Leapfrog, and a heart gifting hug, which are exclusive to co-op mode.

That isn’t to say the game isn’t awesome solo. Fans will notice Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy’s personalities are uniquely expressed in their animations – especially when using many of the abilities unlockable as you progress. For example, Mickey uses lots of toys and gadgets, such as a cycle-copter when using the Glide ability, and a bouncing ball when using Ground Pound, which are perfect for our fun-loving hero. Minnie is quite practical and pulls in tools perfect for their applied purpose, such as a climbing pick when bouncing off walls for Wall Jump. If you couldn’t tell, all of Goofy’s skills are food related, while Donald is just… Donald. Which character will you choose to play first?
