New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and, for Disney fans looking to enjoy the evening at home, we’ve created a list of our 10 favorite movie moments to sync up to your New Year’s Eve midnight countdown on Disney+!

Inspired by Disney park attractions and lands across Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, this list of movies will help you start 2024 with a bang and possibly shed a happy tear or two as you fall in love again with your favorite Disney characters and historic sports moments.

Star Wars: A New Hope” | Destroying the Death Star

Movie Start Time: 10:02:43 PM

Replace the ball drop and fireworks with a true bang of the Death Star from “Star Wars: A New Hope (Episode IV)” as we say “buh-bye” to 2023 and celebrate the new year with new hopes and resolutions. For guests traveling aboard StarSpeeder 1000 on Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at Disneyland park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you might encounter the Death Star in two different destinations – in space when you come face-to-face with Boba Fett or its remains on the ocean moon Kef Bir. And in 2024, new adventures await guests as Ahsoka will become part of the popular Star Tours attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, Disneyland Park in California and Disneyland Paris – beginning next spring.

“Avengers: Endgame” | “I am Iron Man” Snap

Movie Start Time: 9:29:30 PM

The iconic Iron Man snap from “Avengers: Endgame” is the perfect way to dust off any negative vibes from 2023 and enter 2024 with positive “cosmic” energy. Next time you visit Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park, be sure to thank your favorite Super Heroes and visit the new Avengers Vault where you can discover the most powerful artifacts collected by the Avengers.

Guardians of the Galaxy” | Ronan the… Defeated

Movie Start Time: 10:15:14 PM

As we reflect on the friendships we’ve made in 2023, ring in the new year with an awesome mix of ‘70s and ‘80s hits from “Guardians of the Galaxy” to start things rockin in 2024. If you’re looking to make more friends in the new year, the Guardians of the Galaxy are more than happy for Terrans to join them on Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure park and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

“A Goofy Movie” | The Perfect Cast

Movie Start Time: 10:50:43 PM

Start the new year with the perfect song “I2I” and “The Perfect Cast” as Max navigates his way across the country to see Powerline in Los Angeles before time runs out, in “A Goofy Movie.” While you explore Mickey’s Toontown, keep your eyes open for Powerline memorabilia at Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard, “I2I” by The Toontown Tooners playing in the land, and Powerline-inspired Power Lime candy props inside Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway queue at Disneyland park.

“The Princess and the Frog” | Welcome Princess Tiana

Movie Start Time: 10:32:35 PM

We’re almost there, on New Year’s Eve! Just as Tiana set a goal for herself to open her own restaurant and become a world-class chef in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog,” 2024 offers a new beginning to set goals and resolutions for us to achieve our dreams. Also, 2024 will be an exciting year for all Disney fans when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

“Beauty and the Beast” | Beast Transformation

Movie Start Time: 10:42:48 PM

The clock is ticking for the Beast and 2023 with each dropping rose petal. Celebrate the new year with the ones you love and relive the magic of Disney Animation’s “Beauty and the Beast” at Walt Disney World Resort by taking part in Enchanted Tales with Belle during your next visit to Magic Kingdom park and Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

“The Mighty Ducks” | Triple-Deke Game-Winner

Movie Start Time: 10:22:28 PM

It wouldn’t be a midnight countdown without a clock-ticking final-second victory. The Ducks remind us of the lesson in teamwork and doing your best in the new year. Next time you’re inside Mickey & Minnie’s Runway Railway queue at Disneyland park, keep your eyes open for a theatrical poster resembling “The Mighty Ducks,” featuring Donald Duck and his nephews titled “The Feisty Ducks.”

“Cool Runnings” | Iconic Slow Clap Finish

Movie Start Time: 10:26:51 PM

Another sports classic based on a true story, “Cool Runnings” is a story all about the counting of seconds, perseverance and second chances. With 2024 just around the corner, it reminds us that nothing is impossible – especially the goals we set for ourselves in the new year. While snow and ice are hard to find in Anaheim, California, you and a team of friends and family can buckle into your very own bobsleds while navigating the tight turns of Matterhorn Mountain on Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland park.

“Toy Story” | Falling with Style

Movie Start Time: 10:45:15 PM

Thanks to a little help from one of Sid’s rockets, Buzz and Woody help ring in the New Year with a fireworks finale before flying…falling in style in Pixar Animation’s “Toy Story.” But before these now iconic friends can race back to Andy, Buzz learns to forgive Woody which reminds us that forgiveness is a New Year’s resolution that can help start the year off with a clean slate. To spend even more time with your favorite “Toy Story” friends in 2024, be sure to visit Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World Resort and Pixar Pier at Disneyland Resort.

“The Incredibles” | Super Family Finale

Movie Start Time: 10:14:52 PM

This action-packed adventure ends with an “incredible” fireball drop that brings family together. Even with no capes, Pixar Animation Studios’ “The Incredibles” reminds us that each of us has a special gift and talent within. Embrace that gift and make 2024 your best year yet. And if one of those gifts is helping to catch super babies, then The Incredibles could use your help next time you board the Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure park.
