It would like Disney would have a simple spread sheet of nutrional values at City Hall. It would not be neccesary to have a sheet at each restaraunt. People like me would be willing to go to City Hall to view if they really wanted the information.
Great to know for next month’s vacation to Disney World! Speaking of Disney meals, any idea when the mobile app will be available for the Droid so I can enjoy it while I’m there?
I LOVE HIS SMILE AT THE END!
I think it would be great if you could offer a list of vegan items available throughout the park. And even a list for others, like gluten-free alternatives, etc.
My favorite place to get a veggie burger is White Water Snacks by the pool at The Grand Californian. Its Quiet, open to everyone and best of all they bring it to your table.
I have a friend that is Vegan. Is there any selections that would be available to her in the parks and Downtown Disney?
Thanks, Elizabeth! How did you find the gluten-free options?
Todd, Not when you’re diabetic it isn’t. Some of us just can’t afford to go with the flow and not take care of our health when on vacation.
@> Christine – When you are on vacation at a Disney resort, all of the food is calorie and fat free. So enjoy yourself!!!
😉
@> Jackie – I recall seeing vegetarian options flagged out on the guide maps they give you at the entrance. But it has been a while since I looked at a map.
Disney needs to get on board with 2010 and offer a pamphlet with nutritional information on the food they are serving. Starbucks can do it, so why not Disneyland?
I do have to wonder what Disney is doing to encourage healthy eating and lifestyles amongst its Cast Members. There appears to be an opportunity there, and a great place to start.
This is good information to know, but specifics would help. Where can I find Veggie burgers? As a vegetarian, finding non-meat protein in the parks can be difficult. I ate at the Plaza Inn with family, and the only option for me there was penne pasta with marinara and a sprinkling of cheese. I agree that a spreadsheet or listing of vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options available (say at City Hall) would be helpful to plan our day and dining choices.
Yes I have noticed and do appreciate the improved choices, including at Tomorrowland Terrace. I usually get the salad w/walnuts if we eat at Pizza Port.
Last week my 2 year old wanted a Buzz Lightyear bottle from the Tomorrow Land Terrace. They only offered to fill it with soda. When I asked if i could fill it with juice instead they refused. Why would I want to give my 2 year old soda?
This video is a step in the right direction, but what I’d really love to see Disney do is release a spreadsheet of nutritional information for everything at the restaurants and ODV carts.
They also offer gluten-free options as well!!
The rosemary turkey salad sounds yummy. I could go for some right now!
