Today we’re looking down Main Street, U.S.A., as work continues on bringing Walt’s dream of Disneyland to life.
I’ve always had such admiration for the people who literally put hammer to nail to build the park. Looking at these photos, I can’t help but wonder what their stories were and what pride they must have had in their unique place in Disney history.

I’m quite certain that one of those gentlemen is my grandfather.
James wife here – No pun intended but these photos really are a piece of Americana and our history. WED really was more than a a visionary and a genius, he truly changed our world as we go about daily life. without WDL and the subsequent parks, how different would all our childhoods really be? His creations touches and impacts everything.
It IS the happiest place in the world! 🙂 <3
