New Tastes on Flo’s V8 Café Menu at Disney California Adventure Park

When you head for Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park, make a pit stop at Flo’s V8 Café to fill ‘er up. We’ve always been big fans of the Veggie-Tater Bake and any of Flo’s pies, but now there are new favorites vying for top spot on the menu.

Barbecued Pork Ribs at Flo's V8 Cafe at Disney California Adventure Park Roast Beef and Cheddar Sandwich at Flo's V8 Cafe at Disney California Adventure Park Turkey Dip at Flo's V8 Cafe at Disney California Adventure Park

Fall-off-the-bone barbecued pork ribs, with house-made Coca-Cola barbecue sauce replace the pork loin, served with creamy mashed potatoes and a side of crisp slaw. Also new is a hearty sandwich with shaved roast beef and cheddar on a garlic-chive bun topped with sweet, caramelized onions and kicky horseradish aioli, slaw on the side. The turkey dip also debuts on a potato grinder roll, with provolone cheese and turkey au jus for dipping and a side of pasta salad.

Ah, another pie joins the sweet line-up: coconut cream, making it tough to decide how to end the meal – maybe share that and the chocolate mud pie (or maybe the strawberry-rhubarb) with a friend.

Flo’s also adds Grand Am Beer on tap, joining the Racer 5 Pale Ale IPA.

Staying on the menu are the crowd-pleasing rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies, ditto for the Citrus Turkey Salad, but with a twist: it’s now lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and Craisins (those delightful dried cranberries) and a kicky citrus-tarragon dressing. And our favorite Veggie-Tater Bake is still there, a riff on shepherd’s pie made with bulgur wheat, roasted veggies, mashed potatoes and Cheddar cheese.

Do you have a favorite dish at Flo’s?

Comments

  • I don’t see any vegan options offered on the menu here. Even the salads have meat or cheese on them. 🙁

  • I have to say I really am disappointed. Flo’s was my favorite place to dine and the dishes you removed were my go to choices. I was always giving Flo’s as a suggestion to friends and other guests.

I really enjoyed being able to eat a diner meal. In my opinion this change really doesn’t keep with the theme of restaurant or Cars Land.

I hope Disney will reconsider this. Maybe you can have both?

  • I’m glad to see the Coca-Cola Ribs back at Flo’s. My son and I enjoyed this on what was to be the last day Flo’s was serving it, and were both disappointed that they were going away. However, going from the temporary new menu items and onto the permanent menu at Flo’s is great. Now we can enjoy these great ribs again and again!

  • Me and my 6 year old boy will both miss the pork loin. Ribs aren’t my favorite, and a 6 year old won’t eat them. We’ll still try Flo’s and see how it is, but I’ll miss the pork loin!

  • Happy to see the ribs are on the menu for good. They are tasty.

  • Gotta throw my vote in the disappointed categary, too. Sandwiches are obtainable anywhere. It was nice to be able to get something different (like the pork, turkey and roast beef dishes) at Flo’s. 🙁

  • I saw there are shakes now… which has my husband THRILLED. Last time we were there he was lamenting how impossible it seemed that there was no where you could just get a shake. Any pics of those?

  • I’m glad the Veggie Tater Bake stayed. My favorite. I am happy to see the Roast Beef Sandwich relocate to Flo’s after the disappearance of FF&P’s old menu (I miss the choices they used to have at that dining spot).

  • Veggie-Tater bake is maybe the single best veggie dish in the Disney universe. Fantastic at Flo’s, fantastic at home (thanks for the recipe!).

    Second favorite dish: BEER! lol

  • Ribs! Yay! Is this the same BBQ sauce used on the ribs Taste Pilot Grill used to serve? Those were the best ribs east of Flame Tree BBQ in WDW’s Animal Kingdom.

  • I have to admit, I was pretty disappointed to see that the menu changed when I was there last week. I’m not a big fan of the new sandwich options. I would really love to see the original roast beef, turkey, and pork loin meals return.

  • As much as I’m happy to see the Fiddler Fifer roast beef sandwich back in purchaseability is there any way to get chips like it was before or are we stuck with the slaw?
Also, are we allowed to take it out of the area to a cooler/indoor area than the open to the air patio seating for V8 Flo’s?

    • Hi Alyxandria, chips are not on the menu, but you are able to substitute the slaw for another side.

  • Pretty disappointed actually. The turkey and pork loin platters were a nice change of pace from the other offerings in the park. Now we get more sandwiches. I hope they at least allow you to substitute side dishes.

    • Hi Aaron, you can substitute side dishes.

  • There are a variety of sides you can choose – mac & cheese is one of them!

  • It says the ribs come with creamy mashed potatoes, but in the picture it shows them as served with mac & cheese?

    • Sorry for the confusion, Tori! The ribs are served with mashed potatoes, but macaroni and cheese is also available as an option.
