Two New Ways to Enjoy Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Update: The schedule for Epcot International Food & Wine Festival – Late Nights LIVE! has been adjusted and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy this event on Thursday nights throughout the festival. Guests who had booked a Tuesday night will be contacted by a Disney cast member for further assistance.

How about an after-hours street party, and an Epcot Food & Wine Festival Premium Package to make the 19th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival even more fun?

Delicious Desserts Tempt the Sweet Tooth

Epcot Food & Wine Festival – Late Nights LIVE! street party will run from 9:45 p.m. to 1 a.m. every Thursday during the festival between the United Kingdom Pavilion and World Showcase Plaza. The event includes six tastes (food and beverages) from select marketplaces, live music, entertainment, and a DJ. Cost is $79, plus tax. Bringing together the love of food with the love of music, it’s the perfect destination for a delicious final bite. Party is subject to capacity and advance reservations are recommended; to book a spot, call 407-939-3378. We know that Greece, Hawaii and Desserts & Champagne will be showcased, along with others that will change throughout the festival.

*Note: Admission to Epcot is not required after 9 p.m. for guests who have purchased credentials to the event. However, if the guest wants to visit Epcot before 9 p.m., valid theme park admission is required. Alcohol will only be served to guests 21 and older.

Now for some brand-new “Premium” fun! From noon-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday during a select festival period (September 22-November 6), the Epcot Food & Wine Festival Premium Package is an opportunity for guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel (or the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels) to sip and savor in style. The package includes an in-room gift with wine for guests 21 and older, a festival wine glass, truffles and credential for the Premium Package Areas at the festival – plus an Epcot International Food & Wine Festival MagicBand and a $50 Disney Gift Card to start the fun. The credential gives access to 10 VIP “Premium Package Areas” around World Showcase Promenade where you can order items from Marketplaces and have them delivered to you – no waiting in line. You can also bring your favorite marketplace treats into the Premium Package Areas and just relax. The package also includes one admission to Epcot Food & Wine Festival – Late Nights LIVE!, which you can attend on Thursday night.

Cost is $199 per guest, plus tax, plus Epcot admission.

  • Is there a limit on the amount of days you can use the premium package area or can use it Mon-Thur for your entire stay?

    • You may use the lounges as much as you want Monday – Thursday of a one week period.

  • The premium package sounds great. Is the access to the Premium Package Areas for a single day or available for the duration of your stay? Thanks!

    • Please see above. 🙂

  • I don’t know if this is the greatest news I have ever heard, or the worst, as now I have to think about doing Food & Wine again this year when it wasn’t in the budget.

  • Being a local from Windermere, FL, I obviously won’t be staying at a resort, so I can’t take advantage of this.

BUT… being a MagicBand collector, I freaked out when I saw that Premium guests will get a “Epcot International Food & Wine Festival MagicBand”.

My question is, will the MagicBand be available for purchase to normal day guests at Food & Wine 2014 this year?

  • I just purchased the package for my group of 4 adults. The package is good for the duration of your stay but only Monday through Thursday. Even though it’s $199 per person it’s a pretty good deal considering each member of the party gets a $50 gift card, a bottle of wine in your room, a festival wine glass that I buy anyway, and admission to the Late Night Live event on either a Tuesday or Thursday which is $79 by itself…

  • this looks incredibly awesome!

  • There are guests who are calling to book the Premium and are being told that each guest does NOT get a $50 gift card, that it is one per room. I can see the bottle of wine being one per room and maybe the truffles and possibly a bag if a bag is actually included, but not the gift card, wine glass, magic band or credential. Those should be per guest, not per room. What is accurate?

    • The package is per person, so each person who orders the package receives one of each item, including everything in the amenity gift and gift card.

  • Intriguing, yet expensive and really kind of late notice. I wonder why this wasn’t announced before today. I expect it is limited quantity available and will sell out quickly.

  • I’m looking forward to the Premium Package!

I have a couple of Food & Wine festival trips planned – an early October friends trip and a late October family trip. Will my “Premium Package Areas” credential work for both trips, or will I need to buy one for each stay to access the areas?

    • The credential is valid for only one week. Hope that helps!

  • I just called to ask about this, and the Cast Member stated only one $50 gift card per room. Would someone please give us the official word on if the gift bags, MagicBands, and gift cards are per person or per room?

    • It is one per guest.

  • I called and was told one per PERSON….

  • I would hope that what I was told is correct. Makes a lot more sense. If it’s only one per room then the package should be one per room (not per guest) as well (ie….one per $199 cost)

  • I called earlier and was told that 1) their system is down, and 2) all items are per person. Called just now and system is still down, possibly 60 minute ETA. Going to verify again what is included when I call back…

  • I was told by two different CMs who talked to managers the $50 dollar GC was PER person. It would make no sense to be per room.

  • Booked! And verified again that, yes, all package items are per person.

  • Does access to the the Premium Package areas begin with the day you check in to your resort?

  • Questions:

    A) What does the MagicBand look like?

    B) When you say 6 tastes, does that mean like 6 “items” included or like 6 pairings or what?

  • Does access to the Premium Areas last for your entire length of stay (Monday – Thursday)?

  • I reserved the premium package today for our stay the week of September 21st. There are three adults in my party so I had to book all three of us – as in $199×3 – for credentials, Magic Bands, etc. I was told by the CM that we have access to the lounge areas Mon-Thur of the week we’re there (as per this blog’s information) and then I had to choose which after hours “party” we will attend – Tue or Thur. I chose Thursday and was told that I need to check in at the Festival Center on the day of the “party” – for what I don’t know – not that we’ll mind doing so.

There was a bit of confusion, at first, when booking as the CM thought I was booking only the “party” and not the whole package.

I didn’t get any notion of the credentials or MBs being available to my entire party without having booked each of us individually.

Just wanted throw out my experience…looking forward to the perks, MB, gift card, and all the other fun!

  • Do you know if there is seating in the 10 VIP areas?

Also, I was going to purchase this for our family and wonder if there is a different item than wine for those that are not 21 years old. (and what that item is).

It also states you must pick-up your information for the LIVE party the day of the party before 9pm. We will not be at Epcot that day and I wasn’t planning to purchase parkhopper passes. How do we do pick up those tickets or check-in for whatever was needed at the festival center?

Unfortunately, there seems to be a great deal of confusion when calling in for information. I know this is a new event but with non-refunable tickets I want to make sure I understand everything before I purchase them.

  • We booked for the week of Oct 6th – our party consists of 4 adults and 1 10 year old. We booked 5 packages. It was really hard to make the reservation, and it took over an hour on the phone. The CM was VERY helpful, and took the time to answer all of my questions and she had to check with her manager to get some of the answers. My main concern was if I could book it for my 10 year old. It wouldn’t be any fun if he wasn’t able to enjoy the VIP areas with us.

I’m so excited about this package. I have always wondered why they didn’t have more places to sit and enjoy the food and wine. The after hours party sounds like a blast too! Can’t wait!!

  • The Late Nights Live! page is now showing “Thursdays”. Did they cancel Tuesdays? (I’m booked for a Tuesday party and won’t be there on a Thursday.)

  • Yes- I was called by Disney Guest Services, and I was told that they won’t be doing Tuesday parties, so they offered to move me to Thursday party instead. Alternatively, they offered Champagne Dessert Party if I didn’t want the Thursday. I was lucky that I had a Thursday open, and took the new date/time.

  • We purchased this and will be arriving on Thursday and attending the event that first night. I know the Premium Package areas are not open Friday-Sunday but will we be able to go on Monday? We leave on Monday night and was told we would have access to those areas Thursday before the party and then again on Monday but not Fri-Sun.

  • I’ll be in for most of next week at a conference. I have a local friend who will join me for one evening. I’d like to get the premium package for myself and use it during the days when I’ll be there on my own, and get the Thursday evening Late Nights Live package for my friend. Is that doable? I’ve been trying to go to the Late Nights order page, but it keeps giving me an error message, saying “that page isn’t available.”
