Often, what drives someone to pursue a career in technology is an appreciation for precision and meticulous attention to detail. Senior Manager of Technology Nina Sanchez is no different – and her love of precision is also what drove her to begin competing in Olympic-style weightlifting competitions.
When Nina isn’t diving into data in her role on the data products and platforms team with technology and digital, she’s busy going for gains at the gym. Through supportive leaders and Disney’s focus on health and wellness, Nina’s been able to pursue her passions in technology at work and her love of weightlifting in her free time.
“What Disney means to me is a strong support system from my leaders, which is something I never expected to receive from a job,” said Nina.
In 2020, Nina competed and ranked within the top ten and top twenty in a national weightlifting meet. At the beginning of 2021, she competed in her first virtual national competition. With her leaders’ support and her own drive, who knows what Nina will accomplish next.
