Mark your calendars: The 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE takes place at Walt Disney World Aug. 29 through Nov. 23!

As many of you know, there’s always something to celebrate in the neighborhoods of EPCOT, from nature and discovery to culture and cuisine. And while the park has so much to offer every day, here are a few things you won’t want to miss at this year’s festival.

Global Marketplaces

Of course, it wouldn’t be the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival without the FOOD! Foodie fans can look forward to so many mouthwatering returning favorites.

Once again you can indulge in Belgian Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream or Warm Chocolate Ganache at the Belgium Global Marketplace.

Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce

In Germany, say “guten tag” to Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce, while just over the mountain, The Alps will feature Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake, and Meringues.

Passionfruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts

Looking for tropical flavors that will whisk you away to paradise? Passionfruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts will breeze back in the Hawai’i Marketplace!

Say Roquefort! (Or Gruyere or Gouda if you prefer.) That’s right – Emile’s Fromage Montage also returns in 2024. This fun food stroll encourages guests to sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways. Purchase any five cheese dishes from the official Global Marketplaces list in your Festival Passport and make sure to collect a stamp for each dish purchased. Once you’ve collected all five stamps, bring the passport to the specified location for a specialty unique item to enjoy!

That’s just an amuse bouche to excite you for all the delectable flavors that are to come. Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog and the Foodie Guide for all the details as we share them!

Crave-able Merch

You might notice in the photo above that we’re giving you a sneak peek at some of what you can look forward to during this year’s festival.

Take home a taste of the fun with magnificent merchandise that keeps the magic alive between visits, featuring beloved friends, like Remy from “Ratatouille” and Mickey Mouse.

And here’s a fun reveal: Everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Figment, will also be cooking up some fun this fall just in time for the festival. Want to see more? Here are a few more things we have up our chef coat sleeve, including fun drinkware from CORKCICLE.

CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT
CommuniCore Hall

As we told you in a recent story, CommuniCore Hall will open on June 10 in the heart of World Celebration.

And, once the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins, the new space will add exciting fresh elements to the festival. Stay tuned for more!

Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Scavenger Hunts and More

As evening falls, chart-topping musical acts and Orlando’s top talent will take to the stage as part of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series presented by Florida Blue. Performances will take place nightly in the America Gardens Theatre. Eat to the Beat Dining Packages will also return, ensuring you get a seat for your favorite acts. We’ll have more details soon.

On the scavenger hunt front, guests can purchase a map (while supplies last) for Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak and search to find their favorite little chef hidden throughout World Showcase.

What are you looking forward to most at the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival?

Comments

  • Really upset to hear this! I know I echo many of you above, but I planned my trip for end of July/beginning of August based on the last few years’ dates. As a teacher, I can’t reschedule for later. This makes me consider shortening my trip!

  • So glad they are going back to the old schedule! Festivals aren’t special when they are going on all the time. Plus, it’s nice to plan to avoid them if you are worried about the crowds 👍

  • So so sorry disappointed

  • I’m absolutely speechless, we have planned our trip since coming back from last years visit to coincide with food and wine and we are now going to miss the bulk of it. If Disney was going to change the dates so dramatically they should’ve give people much more notice. Very Disappointed!!!

  • I hope it starts this late in 2025. We are visiting in August so hoping to miss it. We have no interest in attending and in August 2022 it just increased the crowds on our 2 Epcot days and meant the Oh Canada film was stopped as the hall was used to serve food and beer.

  • Yay! I am so excited that we are going back to normal dates! Does this mean that The Party for the Senses and culinary experiences like Parisian Breakfast and Italian Beer vs. Wine are coming back soon? I sure hope so! Those were the highlight of my trips! My family and I go every year and wish Disney would bring back these beloved experiences!

  • So sad I planned a trip for food and wine in August, anticipating dates off the last few years and now won’t be able to be there for it. Also kind of tough that for DVC people can book 7 or 11 months out depending, making changing my travel plans not much of an option.

  • Historically, the Wine and Dine festival started end of August/beginning of September. It’s only be the last few years its started in July.
    2014: September 19 to November 10
    2015: September 25 to November 16
    2016: September 14 to November 14
    2017: August 31 to November 13
    2018: August 30 to November 12
    2019: August 29th to November 23
    2020: July 15 to November 22
    2021: July 15 to November 20
    2022: July 14 to November 19
    2023: July 27 to November 18

Basically, the expanded dates coincided with coming back from COVID and extending the festival to allow more time to spread people out.

Disney is getting away from COVID policies (RunDisney doing away with virtual run weekend starting in November this year as it was pre COVID) and going back to normal.

  • To all of those complaining… sounds like poor planning. Next time just save up the money and then pay it all at once. Disney is known to change dates for events, like flower and gardens dates changed. Which is probably why food and wine changed. Plus they get BUSY in the summer. It allows EPCOT to have some downtime between festivals. Let’s EPCOT be EPCOT for a second.

  • Not happy, I have planned a trip to celebrate my 81th birthday on July 29 with enjoying the Food and Wine Festival. Now these plans will have to be cancelled 😡

  • SO disappointed in the new dates! We are visiting at the beginning of August and I was SO excited to experience this. Very disappointed that it was pushed back so much from the usual start date in July!

  • This is beyond disappointing that not only is it starting super late it’s also very short compared to the last 3 years

  • This is beyond disappointing, I booked myself and my partner’s family trip anticipating this festival as the last 3 years my partner and I have gone the festival had already been in full swing. My partner, his family and myself had really been looking forward to going and enjoying this, now I have to break the news that they won’t get to enjoy it. Super bummer starting at the very END of August and only running till November. Honestly I’d cancel if it wasn’t too late already since we’re only just now getting word that we won’t be able to experience this festival which unfortunately was a huge selling point of this trip. I really hope these dates aren’t set in stone because it would be a huge loss

  • I am so sad! We planned a trip the first part of August based on previous festival dates. Plane tickets are already purchased:(

  • This is so disappointing as we were booked on the basis on 2022 and 2023 dates and hoped to catch the festival based on those (my own fault I know.) We are coming from the UK and our Summer break ends at the end of August so no other option 🙁

  • I’m so happy to see that the festival dates have returned to the original pre-Covid dates! I hope that the next announcement will be in regards to the tastings, lunches and dinners that used to be such a big part of the festival!

  • We booked a trip based upon the dates from last year, we are going August 11th and assumed the Wine and Food festival would be going on. It is very disappointing that not only did Disney shorten the festival but if they were going to change the start date so drastically that it was not announced until mid-April.

  • Hi, we love the food and wine festival. We have a trip planned for Aug 7 – Aug 14 and were hoping food and wine would start around end of July, similar to previous couple years. Do you know why it was pushed back to end of August, and, will there potentially be a different EPCOT festival during July/early August timeframe? Thanks.

  • I think it’s great idea to let EPCOT “breathe” for 3 months with no festival. The summer months are busy for EPCOT anyway so great idea!

  • I am used to the festival starting late july? So they cut this festival’s length of time too, cause the garden festival last year went into mid june early july. So i thought this year they were adding a 4th festival when they made it shorter, but now with this food/wine being shorter too i’m worried and really sad. 🙁
