‘Old South’-Themed Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside Gets a New Look at Walt Disney World Resort

There’s been a lot of refreshing going on over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside lately.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Newly Refurbished

Earlier this year, the majestic royal rooms opened and many of the guest rooms were renovated. Now the resort’s main lobby has a fresh new look. The two-month refurbishment included new tile, colorful rugs, decorative period lighting and some new furniture. The space is very inviting – it sure seems brighter and more spacious to me. Take a look.

  • I LOVE this resort – my husband and I spent the better part of our honeymoon here back when it was Dixie Landings 🙂 A few years later, we stayed again when we were with my Mom. We checked into the Dixie Landings, but checked out of Port Orleans Riverside 😉 These renos look fantastic 🙂

  • I was there in May at the start of the renovation and half of the lobby was finished. I’ll miss the old look but the new was looking excellent. I will have to make a stop there on my next visit.
