Hi everyone! Due to the increasing popularity of the Walt Disney World Moms Panel web site, we’re welcoming back 22 panelists from 2008 and 2009 and adding 21 more new panelists for the largest ever group of Disney-savvy vacation gurus. And they begin answering your questions today!
“Walt Disney World is so much more than a theme park and being on the Moms Panel allows me to help people discover all that Disney has to offer. I’ve been traveling to Walt Disney World for over 35 years and even after making countless trips there, my family still finds something new to experience,” said 2010 panelist Amanda Allen of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Chris Gildea a teacher from Boston, Massachusetts feels that planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort can be a once in a lifetime event and he has been helping people plan those kinds of trips for years. “Being a part of the Walt Disney World Moms Panel allows me a greater platform to expand the magic to others!”
The panelists work from home helping answer guest’s vacation planning questions. Many panelists feel that in some ways they are helping spread Disney pixie dust all over the world. Florida resident Maria Marquez says, “I love knowing I help other families relax and take in the Disney magic and joy on their trips. I get to share my own perspective and it brings me that much more happiness!”

Is there a Disneyland Moms panel?
I just love today! It’s been really fun & exciting to see all the new moms’ faces on the panel! Absolutely love the video! So, lots of people have asked about a Disneyland Mom’s panel & being from Seattle, I think it would be a VERY FABULOUS thing to have a Disneyland “section” of the WDW Mom’s Panel! I would gladly volunteer to handle that with bells on (Mickey-Shaped ones, of course)….just sayin’!! 😀
I totally agree about the need for having a Disneyland Mom’s Panel. I would join this panel in a heartbeat. Each theme park is a magical new experience every time you visit My daughter celebrated her 8th birthday at Disneyland with a special breakfast and cake made by Chef Goofy this July. While last year we went to Disney World for my son’s birthday. The two things that we love about our Disney experience – the Mickey Mouse shaped waffles/pancakes and the Rainforest Cafe.
With 6 guys making the panel this year I think its time to change the name. 😛
Oh how I would be honored to be on the “Mom’s Panel”, I grew up at Disneyland and been to Disneyworld at least 10 times.

We just have to play touch football this year and not contact. Chris would wipe us all out! LOL!
Hi. I am planning to be at Disneyland Anaheim in February with my husband, 4 year old daughter and we are bringing another family who has a 5 year old daughter whose never been to Disneyland. We have a 3 day pass and although we have been every year since my daughter was born I am looking for suggestions on how to get the most out of our trip for the group. I know we have the basics down but I am sure we are missing out on some great experiences as it seems to take several trips to get your bearings:) The girls love all the characters so is there a special meet and greet or function where they can get some one on one, etc.?
Teri, one of the best places to meet characters is at one of the Character breakfasts. Currently there is a ‘Minnie and Friends Breakfast in the Park’ at the Plaza Inn in Disneyland. I have been to many of their Character Breakfasts, the food is excellent, with lots of choices for all age groups. The last one we attended had various characters. In fact, we were approached, at our table, by a penguin from Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins herself and Bert, the Beast (from Beauty and the Beast) and Snow White. There is also ‘Ariel’s Disney Princess Celebration’ in CA at Ariel’s Grotto and ‘Chip and Dale’s Critter Breakfast’ at the Storyteller’s Cafe in the Grand Californian.
Also there is the new Pixie Hollow in Disneyland where you can meet Tink and friends, Winnie the Pooh and Friends in Critter Country (It has been my experience that the lines can be long but the characters are very patient and make sure everyone gets a turn), plus several other good meet & greets listed on the Disneyland Park Attractions page under Character Greetings.
From personal experience, another good way to get an idea of who will be out and about is to speak to a Guest Services Rep. I beleive they can be found at City Hall in Disneyland and the Guest Relations Lobby inside California Adventure, just inside the park to your left, before you pass Greetings from CA (store). I was there last year with a friend of mine and wanted desperately to get a photo with Stitch. The lovely cast member who helped us gave us times and locations for Stitch and his handler. As a result, I have a treasured photo from our trip together.
I also, btw, would absolutely love to have a Disneyland Mom’s Panel. I grew up going there almost every year for our family vacations and I have been 5 times the last four years (including while 7 months pregnant; one of my favorite experiences yet because of how accomodating and kind everyone was). All of my friends call me the “Disneyland Freak” because my main obsession is the park and it’s history. Now that I am a mom of a bouncy little boy OBSESSED with Lightning, Buzz and Tigger, here’s hoping we Disneyland Moms finally get our own panel. :o)
Jennifer, I’m so super excited that you took the time to answer Teri’s question! That’s awesome! Just goes to show that people have all sorts of questions about Disneyland even though it is so much smaller than Walt Disney World! 🙂 I love being a Disney Freak ~ it’s fun! I’m helping 2 families plan their WDW vacations right now & have helped many in the past with Disneyland vacations. It’s so much fun!
